Building professionals today are tasked with guiding their clients and developers on the rules and regulations of development. Whether it is a small pit latrine, or a large multi-storey office block, the development of any structure in an urban setting or municipality is governed by codes that ensure:
– Health and safety for the users
– Sustainable infrastructure
– Protection of the environment

The CPD is therefore structured to gain insight on the relevant regulations that govern urban development and building.

We shall have Case studies of a commercial project and a residential one that have been taken through the approval process along with a panel including representatives from KCCA, NEMA, UNRA and the Ministry of Works & Transport.

Case study Presentation: Arch. Patricia Rutiba
